Objectives
- The learner will define self compassion and its three components, and discuss situations in which it is utilized.
- The learner will discuss the neuropathological changes that occur in substance use disorder, differentiate it from tolerance and dependence, and identify actionable steps to take should a nurse suspect a colleague is diverting.
- The learner will define reflective listening, describe the steps of mental health first aid, and be able to discuss a situation in which these skills would be utilized by a bedside nurse.
